Edinburgh, June 5th 2023 - ENODA, an energy technology company established in 2021, today announces a successful close of its A series funding and changes to its executive team, as it enters an exciting new phase of growth.
ENODA closed its Series A fundraise, raising over £20m which will enable ENODA to continue its ambitious growth trajectory: sourcing the best talent from around the globe, scaling operations internationally, and deploying commercial scale technology into European markets.
Lindsay Whitelaw moves from Non-Executive Chair into the role of Executive Chair, as the business enters its operational phase. Previously, Lindsay co-founded Artemis Investment Management LLP and has had experience as lead manager on its top performing technology fund, as well as chairing the Artemis Charitable Foundation. He has also held management roles at Ivory & Sime and 3i.
With its technology transitioning from development to commercialisation, ENODA’s current CEO, Paul Domjan, will take on the new role of Chief Policy and Global Affairs Officer. Formerly Energy Security Advisor to the NATO Commander, Paul is ideally suited to shape the regulatory and energy policy landscapes in which the full potential of Enoda’s technology can be realised. A new CEO will be appointed.
On stepping into his new role, Paul Domjan commented: “It’s been a tremendous honour to have had the opportunity to lead ENODA during its first phase of growth. I’m excited to work with a new CEO with a complimentary skillset and continue driving towards our goal of sustainable prosperity for everyone.”
Lindsay commented: “I believe these changes will strengthen the senior management team as we embark on our growth phase. I would like to thank Paul for his contribution over the past two years and the commitment he has demonstrated in taking on this critical new role.”
ENODA is an innovator in energy platforms, developing advanced technologies for grid operators and developers that remove constraints to decarbonisation. Integrated hardware and software solutions slot into existing infrastructure, enabling the grid to become self-balancing and the primary provider of system stability.
ENODA is led by Lindsay Whitelaw (Executive Chair) and its founders: Andrew Scobie (Chief Technology and Product Officer), Jennifer Urquhart (Chief Operating Officer), Jacqui Porch (Chief Markets and Communications Officer) and Paul Domjan (Chief Policy and Global Affairs Officer). They are supported at board level by non-executive Director, Chuck Watson, founder of Dynegy and former Director of Mainstream Renewable Power, and Baker Hughes.
