Case Study
In this study we examine the impact of integrating a fleet of Enoda PRIME® Exchangers (“Prime Exchangers”) coordinated by Enoda ENSEMBLE™ into the Texas grid through the Business As Usual (“BAU”) case.
BAU operation of around 25,000 400kVA Prime Exchangers can allow for reduction of up to 3,855.8 tonnes of CO2 in the Regulation-Up market (“RegUp”) on June 21st, 2023. This fleet of 25,000 devices would have been sufficient on this day to completely saturate the regulation up market.
Such a fleet would have reduced carbon emissions of just one of the frequency and ancillary services, RegUp, by 54%, and would also enable Texans to benefit from Enoda’s ability to provide these services at lowest marginal cost.

Spain’s shocking blackout - what can be done?
In her latest opinion piece featured in the EUobserver, Anna Bazley details both the challenges facing the Spanish electricity grid and the promising reforms underway.

Enhancing Grid Resilience and Cybersecurity with Blockchain: Lessons from NATO’s Evolving Energy Landscape
However, as industrial control systems (ICS) and smart meters shift from isolated setups to internet-based networks, new cyber threats emerge. SCADA protocols, originally designed for closed systems, now face connectivity challenges, allowing a single cyberattack to escalate into a widespread blackout.

Definition of Prosumer: General and in Electricity Markets
What happens when individuals become both producers and consumers of the energy they use? A prosumer bridges the gap between traditional consumption and production, harnessing modern technology to generate goods for their own use while supplying any surplus back into the market.

Powering Sustainable Prosperity for Every One*: ENODA’s Integrated Grid Solution
In response to the IEA’s Global Energy Review 2025, we show that intelligently managed electricity grids can help boost decarbonisation initiatives, reduce the need for coal powered energy to cover shortfalls in energy demand forecasts, and improve grid stability and safety.

Exploring Causality Between Artificial Intelligence and Economic Capacity
AI’s benefits from a positive feedback loop from several key effects. User adoption and network effects increase data availability enhancing AI capabilities. A history of results from previous queries improve the reliability of generated content.

Implications of Condorcet’s Theory for Decision Making in Autonomous AI Fleets Coordinated by Price Signals
Condorcet’s Jury Theorem provides insights into the collective decision-making capabilities of groups under certain conditions. This paper explores the implications of Condorcet’s theory when applied to fleets of autonomous AI devices coordinated by price signals.

The Significance of Scaling Laws in Technology Design and Diffusion
The concept of scaling laws offers profound insights into the patterns and behaviours of complex systems as they grow or shrink in size. Scaling laws are not confined to physical systems but extend to biological organisms, cities, companies, and technological networks.

Prospect of Growth
This article seeks to understand the drivers of growth, the role of productivity and capital formation, the constraints faced, and the critical importance of energy access for formulating effective growth strategies.

Role of Reliable Energy in Capital Formation
This analysis explores the implications of input dependability on capital formation through mathematical models and proofs, referencing key literature in economics

General Purpose Systems: A Definition
In this article we introduce General Purpose Systems (GPSs) as a subcategory of General Purpose Technologies (GPTs). We will explain what both of those concepts mean and provide proof of why General-Purpose Systems is a valuable new concept.

Sustainable Prosperity for Every One
The final article in our series exploring ENODA’s mission statement, “Sustainable Prosperity for Every One” explains how bringing together our separate definitions of sustainability and prosperity allows us to arrive at a concrete goal, and why we stylise “every one” as a reminder to celebrate individuality.

Sustainability Defined
Continuing our series exploring how ENODA defines the keystone concepts of its mission statement, this article presents a functional definition of the essential nature of sustainability.

Prosperity Defined
Prosperity is a state in which individuals and societies achieve well-being, flourishing, and fulfillment through a harmonious integration of personal wealth, moral virtue, social cooperation, and freedom of choice. It encompasses both the subjective experience of well-being and the objective capacity to sustain and pursue it over time.

President Trump: climate policy catastrophe or a new path?
This Trump Administration could be the last nail in the coffin for the COP process, that has continued to fail on its promises, but it does not need to mark the end of action on climate change.

Thought Leadership: Anna Bazley
Head of Government & Regulatory Affairs, Anna Bazley, discusses Ed Miliband’s latest speech on how to resolve the energy trilemma.

Thought Leadership: Eva Jovanova
An opinion piece from ENODA’s Web3 Regulatory & Policy Officer, Eva Jovanova, on how to achieve grid stability in Texas, in response to 'Why Texas Republicans are souring on crypto' by The Economist.

How To Solve a Problem Like Grid Stability
Inertia has provided frequency stability since the introduction of synchronous generators in the first AC electricity networks. But as we increase the role of non-synchronous generation in the grid, we face a system-stability challenge.

The Power of Solar Power
The exponential growth of solar power highlights the transformative potential of solar energy. To realise this potential, we must address critical infrastructure challenges at the substation level to ensure that increased production translates into usable energy and reduces curtailment.

How to Solve a Problem Like Energy Security
The UK is falling behind on most of its energy security objectives. New technologies which could transform electricity grids are arriving. How will they contribute to our energy security?

A Stark Reality for the Energy Transition
The ANC's historic defeat in South Africa, is in part, due to the socio-economic impact of having a dangerously unstable energy system. The rest of the world should take note.
